01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

A savory aroma reminiscent of grilled sea bream rises from the bowl, greeting diners alongside the deep savor of a clear, salt-seasoned broth. Mengyo, operating inside the food hall on the 1st floor of Kinshichō Parco, provides an accessible spot to enjoy distinctive ramen that extracts every nuance from madai (red sea bream). The signature Madai Ramen centers on a delicately salted snapper broth topped with flaked seared snapper, komatsuna greens, pork chashu, and fragrant yuzu peel, keeping the seafood profile balanced and engaging down to the last spoonful.

On days when you want a heavier, deeper character, the Thick Snapper Ramen comes highly recommended, bringing together snapper and chicken broth seasoned with soy sauce. Finely diced onions and scallions cut through the rich, full-bodied soup, contributing crisp texture and palate-cleansing freshness. The variety extends across different styles to fit your mood, from the Snapper Tsukemen, where thick broth coats dipping noodles, to the Snapper Oiled Ramen, tossed directly with tare sauce and toppings.

After finishing the noodles, the Snapper Zosui Don is a meal highlight not to be overlooked. Pouring the piping-hot remaining soup over the bowl of rice transforms it into a luxurious rice porridge steeped in sea bream broth and flaked fish, allowing you to appreciate the soup to the final drop. Other side options let you tailor the meal further, such as the Nira Chashu Don pairing pork chashu with garlic chive sauce, or freshly chopped green chili peppers for an extra kick.

Occupying an open space inside the shopping complex, the counter is easy to visit solo between errands or on the way home from work. A half-portion Madai Ramen (Small Size) caters to younger diners, making this an easy stop for exploring authentic seafood ramen across all kinds of dining occasions.
